COW 2020 JURY
ANNA KŁOS, POLAND
Born in Warsaw. She specializes in poster design, book design, and non-commercial collages. She finished her diploma in poster and graduated with honors in 1999 under professor Julian Pałka and professor Mieczysław Wasilewski. In the same year, she has begun her didactic work. In 2007 she got her PhD degree at Art Faculty of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin for defending her doctoral thesis ‘Dadaist collage as an inspiration for my artwork’.
In 2002-2010 she worked with the publishing company Bertelsmann Media where she designed hundreds of book covers and layouts mainly for high-volume titles. She took part in numerous contests and group exhibitions. Since 2008 she has been teaching graphic design and giving lectures on the history of graphic design in Warsaw School of Information Technology. Since 2010 she has acted as proxy of the dean at the Graphic Design faculty, she is also a member of the Senate of the University and of the Faculty Council for the term 2013-17 and 2017-21. In 2012 she received the Medal of the National Education Commission. In 2017 she was in the jury of the International Poster Competition ‘Escucha mi Voz’ organized in Mexico under the patronage of UNESCO and in 2018 she was in the jury of the international poster contest Ecuador Poster Bienal. She is a member of China International Design Educator Association (C-IDEA). Her professional interests include not only the poster but also contemporary painting, graphics and art market. She is the founder and owner of the Retroavangarda Gallery in Warsaw, Poland. In 2019 Anna Kłos became a curator to a second gallery – WIT Gallery in Warsaw located in the building of the school she works at. WIT Gallery’s main goal is to present pieces of students and professors by organizing international exhibitions.
MOHAMMAD BARRANGI FASHTAMI, IRAN/UK
Renowned Illustrator, Artist, and Athlete.
Mohammad is an illustrator and printmaker originally from Iran and based in the UK.
Barrangi’s work combines elements of Persian calligraphy, storytelling, text, and touches of humor. Using a unique creative process, with handmade traditional calligraphy pens and a blend of mark-marking styles, Barrangi creates both small pieces and often expands these to large scale murals. Alongside his artistic career, Barrangi has gained recognition for his achievements as an athlete. He has represented Iran internationally in the 100m sprint. He has a number of awards at prestigious international competitions: International illustration and book design competition, Moscow; Illustration Sharjah children book, UAE; COW International Design Festival, Ukraine; Tallinn Illustrations Triennial, Estonia; Tragaluz IV international Award, Colombia; Belgrade Illustration Festival, Serbia, etc. He took part in many exhibitions around the world. His live installation was presented at the British Museum which was the beginning part of an exhibition called ‘Looking East’. His Solo Exhibitions were in Belgium and San Francisco, California.
prof. HE FANG, CHINA
He Fang: Professor, School of art and design, Wuhan University of technology. Professor, He has been engaged in the teaching of visual communication design for 33 years, focusing on professional teaching and research in graphic design, intangible cultural heritage inheritance, information visual design, and other fields. She has been invited to participate in international poster design exhibitions many times: Asia designers Invitational Exhibition in 2014, CHIRAN / Chinese and Iranian excellent designer font poster invitation in 2015, China Poland visual design exhibition in 2016, Czechoslovakia Chinese opera culture exhibition in 2017, Scandinavian poster exhibition 2018, Estonia hapsalu HGDF Graphic Design Festival in 2020, etc.
LINA DŪDAITĖ, LITHUANIA
1991 graduated Kaunas J. Naujalis Art School. 1998 Majored in Graphic design, Kaunas Art Institute, Vilnius Art Academy. Currently, Lina working as a freelance designer and illustrator. She taking part in international exhibitions as well as arranging solo shows.

2010 – was put on IBBY’s List of Honour for the illustrations to the book The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Taught Her to Fly (Apie žuvėdrą ir katiną, kuris išmokė ją skraidyti) by Luis Sepulveda, Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
2012 – IBBY Lithuanian Section diploma for the Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2011 – The Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales / Pasakos, Broliai Grimai, Vilnius, Lithuania.

2014 – was put on IBBY’s List of Honour for her illustrations to the book The Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales / Pasakos, Broliai Grimai, Mexico City, Mexico.
2016 – Diploma for excellence in the Competition of Book Art for the illustrations to the book Lion’s roaring / Lauvas rūciens.
2019 – Honorary award for illustrations in the Competition of Book Art to the book The mysterious lake / Sivužas.
2019 – IBBY Lithuanian Section premium for The Best Book of the Year for the Youngest Readers for illustrations to the book The mysterious lake / Sivužas.
2020 – was put on IBBY’s List of Honour for the illustrations to the book The mysterious lake / Sivužas, Moscow, Russia.
